Project SCX16 Rockcrawler
Onto another project again....
tore this piece of shit down to nothing but fuckin nuts & bolts! Bahahah!!
then i got too thinkin **brain smokes**
why not build a 1:16 scale SCX16 (based off my old SCX10 by Axial)
Locked Differential units:
Lets get these diffs apart, cleaned up & locked
Kept the transmission, ill be diggin in there later, i dont leave ANYTHING alone do I
Diffs disassembled & cleaned up
Now...lets fill these with CA!!!
Transmission:
to my surprise.... nothins wrong with this Transmission! :D
Cleaned it up, painted the motorplate & put er back together!

Re: Project SCX16 Rockcrawler
right now im building as many of these RC i have sitting in a bin either busted to shit or not working at all. Over the years i have used em and busted em, ending up in a bin.
anything ive worked on to date is as FAR as i can get them until i get either a part or to next stage in modding.
Example:
Clodbuster rockcrawler needs: x2 50t motors, custom 3-link postmount and batteries.
Sprint2 needs: SuperSlicks to fit these wide ARP wheels.
Savage needs: (maybe a p/s set) and finish the panels & connectors for eletcronics.
Slash 1/16: this was a piece of shit imo and i hacked the chassis & used the battery compartments for the Sprint2. Looking at the parts i put in ziplock bags i came up with the idea to use it as a crawler as seen in this thread. Why not!! it was useless as a brushless set-up, as the thing wasnt big enuff to handle this kind of speed/power, so im using it for a slower & useful rig.
Next up.... Xmods....MiniZ....Flux, etc
i will continue to build these fucking things until i get one done and keep going until their all back up. In the meantime....im doin my best to get something running!

Re: Project SCX16 Rockcrawler
this project has been put on the backburner for now!
seeing as it will be my indoor crawler for the winter months, im not in a race to get it done. Too much other shit going on right now to fret about it.
