Project nitro to electic TC3
just got my fleet together and decided to continue my conversion on the TC3
for the most part the nitro shit has been stripped and the geartrain ready for electrics.
Just need to mount a motor, electrics and whatnot, but this will be using a Pitch like the clodbuster
uses for the spur and pinion.
The Fleet so far...

Electric version
heres the AFTER pic, whereas the 2nd speed has been removed and one-way CA glued permanently.
BEFORE pic, as a Nitro model.

Re: Project nitro to electic TC3
Sweet, ya gonna go brushless with it. Look at Tekin esc and motor setups. lil expensive but they have a reputation.....

Re: Project nitro to electic TC3
messes around with it quickly and decided to use stiff coilovers (yellow) and will be
sticking with the TE37's on Race slicks (red).

Re: Project nitro to electic TC3
after digging through bin after bin.....
found all the pieces needed to get this to RTR status.
AE TR202A 2-CH AM Rx
Axial NVS (night vision system)
HPI SF-1 servo
Motor not decided (motor shown in image only for fitment)
ESC - Undecided
6-cell stickpack by Venom
AE XP2 2-CH AM Tx
*Im thinking on using my brushless setup off the Slash (VXL3M)?
After looking around...i found this shell ill be ordering sometime soon (De Tamaso Pantera)

Re: Project nitro to electic TC3
update:
this one has come to a pause for now as i had to order the top deck where the servo mounts to. I was going to use a spare servo-mount from the Axial SCX10 which could have worked if there wasnt a big hole in the chassis, because of it i cannot mount anything directly to the chassis. As for the motor i still need to fabricate a mount which i had an old AE buggy motor mount but cant find it for some reason?
ill post anything new as they come about.

Re: Project nitro to electic TC3
Well so far with the componets sitting on there looks ok. maybe ya should just get a used electric tc3 off the bay and start with an electric chassis setup, would make ur life a lil easier in the long run.....
Maybe these will help ya with ur conversion....

Re: Project nitro to electic TC3
i had the ETC3 years ago and still have the manual for it, so its all cool i know what im doing and what i need/want for this set up. The reason i dont want another ETC3 is i just didnt care for it at all. And with the NTC3 i am left with a SOLID chassis, stiffer suspension and its a bit heavier which ill need when i decide to go 1/8th brushless in this bitch. Shell be WAY to fast throwing the light ETC3 into the field.
i need the additional weight on this soon to be speed rocket, but i appreciate the help Mike! :D
