Tamiya 1/8 Truck
Hi Guys , this one has got to be one of my most favorite trucks. I got it in early 2002 it is a Tamiya Terra Crusher 1/8 scale Nitro Truck, I only ran the stock engine for a little while , Jason got me an OS .18 CVRX engine which is a sweet engine. is technically a small block but it makes big block power... it is also highly modded. the only parts that are original I are the suspension arms and the turnbuckles . the Chassis is a New Era 4.7 mm with pocketing to lighten it up some. I have put on the Integy shocks , I have a secret for making them not leak...
it has alot of aluminum pieces on it for strength. also the differentials have been upgraded with Tamiya hard ring and pinions, all the drives have been updated with TNX parts, I even have a Savage part in it, see if ya can see what it is....
A BIG Thanks goes out to for all his work on this truck he did almost all the modding and fitting of the parts and also purchased alot of the stuff for me as gifts....
ok enuff about the goodies time for some
do ya see anything here that looks familiar????? there is a Savage Part hiding here somewhere....
Yes Carloss that is landing after the jump off the big hill, soaks it like a wet dishcloth, unlike some others who flip and crash when landing from the hill jump....
I wish it would have been caught in the air , slow camera operator I guess ,

Well i see a lot of stuff that's copied from a real savage-the brakes and pads, the dogbones could be but cant really tell cus half of the pic is missing also the plate that hold's the tranny from my point of view looks like 2 TVp's
And i know aint the trany cus the hpi trany is a pull shaft on its side so their .
And yes the heat shrink is a cool tip on the cup

Re: Tamiya 1/8 Truck
, not anything to do with the brakes. and if ya mean the chassis, where the Trans mounts , it is a single 4.7mm plate, it is relieved and cut out for the drives and parts to hang below... so it is a long ways from some 2mm tvp's
but ya did say dogbone and ya the rear shiny one is for a Savage, I will have to ask just where on the Savage it is from, but I it was a center bone also, not positive tho.... thanks for the comments....

Re: Tamiya 1/8 Truck
nice rig pop i love the TC. yes the rear center bone is from a savage x 4.6 ss it is a savage front center bone and it is the ss chrome one in pops truck.as for the terra crusher being a copy of a savage uuuuuuhhhhhh no. because the tamiya terra crusher was out before the savage was by 5 or 6 months. but it is a copy of the T maxx in a way. but remember that the T maxx is a copy of a kyosho QRC truck almost exatly .so if any thing the savage the tc and the t maxx are just an expantion of kyosho's idea even if you trace it all the way back to the first nitro monster truck who made it kyosho . So I say thanks to a real great company's for causing all the others to build the trucks we love today. So thanks kyosho and tamiya who with out tamiya well come on its tamiya after all them and a few others who dont exist any more started rc
ps for any one who cares the first reconised perduction nitro rc monster truck was the kyosho nitro brute shortly followed by the more famious usa1 nitro crusher.
The terra crusher was tamiya's first bigger than 2.2 tire nitro monster truck she came out just after the first T maxx shortly followed by hpi's first bigger than 2.2 nitro monster truck the savage .21 bosting the biggest motor of all the new monsters.
