SAVAGE for Jam Racing 1

OK Everyone can just     now.  I finally have a Savage in my fleet... I bought the one Z400 (sean)  had for sale..... looks to be assembled from a couple different trucks. it came with servos no reciever or radio system but I have that also and the    in it is an axial .32 with black head.... Gonna do a complete teardown of everything and go thru make sure all is good....  on to a  few    of the Goods. all that appears to be missing is the tranny but I have that covered Carlos has one ready to go so I will be gettin that one prolly.....

Well im glad u finally desided to check out the dark side looks like a good truck and also a nice project to have.. will keep my open on this thread..

Thanks Buddy, will be fun to get it runnin out in the dirt.... still need that  tranny and brake setup and a few other minor goodies, but should be a fun    when I got it out runnin.  poor baby is headed for a real      here soon  

Well got things all cleaned up, reoiled bearings, check shocks etc, all appears good to go so next was getting it into a roller, Jason came over and between us we did just that, put in the new diffs with alloy cups and got er ready for some more goodies soon......

Ok essss I got the radio gear in the savage and made the linkages caz the stock ones just suck ..... all setup and maybe just maybe if a I will have a couple mins of vid next week of first startup......

all thats left to do is run it now.... Unlike i have a camera to vid it with and he aint got least thats his excuse.... he he is immune to Rule #1 but all he does is have queens anyway so guess it dont matter much anyhow...... enjoy the for now will be some vid soon......

Had the out today for its first runs, actually did really well, fired right up , idled good and with just a lil tuning on the hi needle it was runnin strong..... got home and looked it over, nuthin broke or loose or nuthin, glad it is up and runnin. gonnna make a nice addition to the Fleet

I got a few more parts for the  Savage and installed them a couple weeks ago... First is a sweet RPM center skid plate to protect the brakes and trans case from takin any hits....

Next is this SWEET alloy Bellcrank I found on E Bay for 14 bux







no more flex like the stock plastic bellcrank had so throttle outta be better, plus it wont break the ears off the crank either....

Thanks Carlos, I thought the bellcrank was a piece and as for that center skid, I hope it keeps outta my brakes and tranny bottom.....

we will see here soon I hope, Jason been so busy at work and us with the kiddos we had no time for bashin this summer at all.... maybe soon we can get out and burn some nitro....

yep us too busy busy busy .. Hope things turn around so i can feel good about life n start to burn sum nitro fuel my self mike.. untill then i bet the skid plate will do its job.

Well I got this for my Savage, working on gettin it painted here this week sometime.....





Of course it will be flamed up. got the masking all done this weekend and ready for when the kiddos are away at school....











I will update when I get some colors on this, until then keep for more.....

OK I got off my butt and painted the 66 F100 today, I it came out pretty good if ya ask me......















Hope you like how it came out.... I will post more when I get it trimmed out and on the truck.....

All trimmed and decaled up, I am really happy with this body, it tuned out AWESOME !!!!!

Looks like the rest of ur lids.. is the . Front bumper gonna stay tucked huh? But nice ford body ...

ya it is a Short Course Body so it is longer and wider than a standard body for the but it is gonna stay pretty till the old shell is destroyed....

Santa ( me )  was good to me this year he got me these sweet Integy shocks for my Savage, I played with them a bit today and got everything to finish them up in my cart at A Main Hobbies to build them and get em on my    Rig......

They have 14mm hard anno bodies and sweet red ano bits on them and come with 3 sets of springs to tune them into most anything ya can imagine doing with a Savage truck









I will post when I get them built and installed on the truck
